Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support highly scalable cloud services from the ground up.
- Develop backend software for satellite connectivity services supporting Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, and Messages via satellite.
- Apply expertise in algorithms, data structures, operating systems, distributed systems, networking, and concurrent programming.
- Work autonomously on a small foundational team in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and participating teams and help define technical direction and work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Three years of software engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, operating systems, distributed systems, networking, and concurrent programming.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable cloud services.
- Programming experience in Go, Java, and Python.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal documentation and process.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
- DevOps experience is preferred.
