Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware for wireless devices and embedded Linux-based systems.
- Optimize code size and performance, including refactoring and improving existing code.
- Develop software for IoT gateways, smart-home devices, sensors, wearables, and other embedded products.
- Work directly with client teams and participate in technical meetings and discussions.
- Design, document, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and extend software components and subsystems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ software development.
- Professional Zigbee experience, including development, integration, debugging, or maintenance of Zigbee-based solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing and debugging MCU firmware in OS-less, RTOS, and/or Embedded Linux environments, or Linux development across different hardware platforms.
- Ability to independently develop and own software components while collaborating and communicating effectively with team members.
- Ability to understand, maintain, troubleshoot, and contribute to large existing codebases.
- Ability to design, document, and implement software subsystems independently.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and participate actively in technical discussions.
- Good written and spoken technical English.
- Preferred qualifications include Zephyr OS, UART, USB, TCP, UDP, TLS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT, HTTP, Modbus, Z-Wave, FreeRTOS, Linux application or kernel development, cloud-service integration, Python, Lua, Perl, Shell scripting, technical leadership or management, Unix-like systems administration, and experience with distributed development teams.
