Responsibilities
- Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems that handle billions of money movement requests.
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver features for Stripe’s payouts, treasury, and money management products.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
- Improve internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes while working effectively in a distributed and hybrid team.
Requirements
- Requires 2–6 years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
- Requires strong coding skills in any programming language; the interview process is language agnostic.
- Requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to peers’ success across workstreams.
- Requires the ability to work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
- Interest in generalist software engineering across varying technologies and stacks is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale financial tracking systems and practical knowledge of cloud-based services such as gRPC, GraphQL, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS.
