Base Salary

$130k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, explain, implement, and manage AWS cloud services and solutions.
  • Own cloud service provisioning and develop scalable, secure infrastructure automation using infrastructure as code.
  • Design and maintain development, test, and production environments and support software configuration management.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure CI/CD pipelines using Brainboard, GitHub, and related tools.
  • Implement, scale, upgrade, and secure AWS EKS clusters, including workloads, node groups, network flows, and subnet and gateway configurations.
  • Manage containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker, EKS, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
  • Build IAM role models, SSO, SCPs, permission boundaries, security guardrails, and secrets-management solutions.
  • Design S3 lifecycle and replication strategies and manage EBS, EFS, RDS/Aurora, backups, snapshots, restore testing, and disaster recovery runbooks.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage and costs through infrastructure and service reviews.
  • Collaborate with software and AI engineering teams, support project acceptance criteria and requirements documentation, and mentor junior staff.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting and collaborate extensively with UK and India time zones.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of cloud engineering or development experience.
  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud platforms and core computing, storage, and database services.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and knowledge of networking and virtualization.
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, IAM, SSO, SCPs, permission boundaries, and secrets management.
  • Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Bash for scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of database management, monitoring, logging, cloud cost optimization, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders, manage projects, and continue learning.
  • Experience designing and managing development, test, and production environments and mentoring junior staff.
  • Willingness to work extensively with UK and India time zone teams and travel as required.
