Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, and model development.
- Design, build, test, implement, monitor, and support enterprise applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze complex application, business process, system process, and industry issues and make evaluative technical judgments.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and ensure system design, functionality, controls, and operating standards meet requirements.
- Consult with users, clients, technology groups, and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into advanced programming solutions.
- Build and support Java-based backend services, workflow-driven systems, integrations, automation, and cloud-native applications.
- Monitor application performance and reliability and troubleshoot production issues using observability and incident-resolution tools.
- Serve as an advisor, coach, and subject matter expert for junior analysts and other team members.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, operational, and business risks in accordance with Citi policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience delivering complex enterprise applications from design through production deployment.
- Deep proficiency in core Java, including collections, multithreading, memory management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and deployment in high-availability environments.
- Proficiency with J2EE and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data, for scalable backend service development.
- Hands-on Oracle RDBMS experience covering SQL optimization, schema design, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, enterprise design patterns, distributed systems, and monolith decomposition.
- Expertise in Java application profiling, heap analysis, garbage collection tuning, and thread management.
- Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise workflow-driven processing systems.
- Proficiency with Gradle and Maven, including dependency resolution, multi-module builds, and CI/CD integration.
- Programming and scripting experience for enterprise integrations and automation complementary to Java development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and scalable cloud-native deployments.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; OpenShift experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk for monitoring and observability.
- Experience in systems analysis, feasibility assessment, technical planning, and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
- Strong logical reasoning, structured problem-solving, prioritization, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
