Base Salary
$121k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance software applications.
- Apply hands-on coding, code reviews, refactoring, SOLID principles, and software design best practices.
- Implement trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, TDD, and BDD testing with high test coverage.
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, cross-functional teams, and DevOps teams on scalable distributed systems, deployments, observability, and production resilience.
- Provide rotational L3 support to L2 support teams and business stakeholders during office hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an engineering field involving software programming or systems engineering.
- 8+ years of hands-on professional software development experience using Java, Python, or another modern programming language.
- Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, TDD, BDD, automation, code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, cloud-native technologies, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in fast-paced agile environments.
- Angular or React JS experience is preferred.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, observability, production monitoring, and investment banking or financial services is preferred.
