Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with stakeholders and support dependency identification and design documentation for product features.
- Create and implement extensible, maintainable code for products, services, and features.
- Incorporate feedback into future designs and solution fixes while assisting with task breakdown and estimation.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual for monitoring service degradation, downtime, and interruptions and recommend recovery actions using established playbooks.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while driving consistent monitoring and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree with additional technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems and storage.
- Problem-solving, coding, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits
- Base pay is listed at $119,800–$234,700 per year across the U.S., with a separate $160,200–$261,000 annual range for specific San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
