Responsibilities
- Lead technical initiatives across multiple software engineering domains and influence platform-level architecture decisions.
- Own the design, implementation, and end-to-end validation of platform firmware and software features.
- Build scalable test infrastructure, automation frameworks, and quality assurance practices.
- Break down system-level firmware and software requirements and develop comprehensive solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Improve software quality, performance, and development efficiency using open-source frameworks, tools, and internal test environments.
- Define test strategies, test methods, test metrics, and firmware productization approaches.
- Communicate architecture, decisions, risks, alternatives, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide a distributed software engineering team and foster technical excellence and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 16+ years of experience in software development and end-to-end verification and validation of system firmware across the semiconductor development lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of low-level system BSP firmware, including TF-A, TF-M, SCP, OP-TEE, Xen, and Zephyr.
- Programming experience with embedded C/C++, Python, and Bash/Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Git, Pytest, ROS2, GitLab/GitHub, and virtualization software.
- Hands-on experience defining test strategies, test methods, test metrics, and firmware productization.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to navigate complex software stacks.
- Experience qualifying automotive or robotics workloads and using AI/ML software stacks and tooling is desirable.
- Experience with automotive or robotics software safety and security qualification is desirable.
- Understanding of architecture and microarchitecture concepts, ideally for Arm architecture.
- Strong communication, documentation, consensus-building, and team leadership skills.
