Responsibilities
- Own QA strategy, planning, standards, test plans, test cases, and scripts for ServiceNow projects, releases, enhancements, upgrades, and patches.
- Lead functional, regression, integration, UAT, performance, load, volume, scalability, response-time, and smoke testing.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for critical workflows, regression suites, integrations, and high-risk business processes.
- Validate ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, notifications, integrations, configurations, upgrades, and data integrity.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using ServiceNow or designated defect-tracking tools.
- Facilitate UAT, coach business testers, translate requirements into testable acceptance criteria, and communicate QA status, risks, and defect metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency, coverage, automation, and cycle time while maintaining QA documentation.
- Mentor junior QA analysts and business testers and serve as a ServiceNow QA subject matter expert.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 years of QA/testing experience in enterprise IT environments.
- At least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow testing experience, with ITSM required and HRSD, CSM, or ITOM preferred.
- Proficiency in writing test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts in enterprise QA delivery.
- Experience planning and executing enterprise performance testing, including load, volume, scalability, and response-time validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or equivalent certification, ISTQB or similar QA certification, automated testing tools such as ATF, performance testing or monitoring tools, REST/SOAP API and MID Server integration testing, and large-scale ServiceNow implementations or upgrades.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, critical-thinking, root-cause-analysis, accountability, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
