Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, implementation, release, and operation of modular e-commerce add-ons across backend, frontend, and integrations.
- Design and implement scalable Laravel backend logic using queues, events, middleware, and authorization policies.
- Design complex database schemas and optimize performance for high-traffic e-commerce environments.
- Oversee Vue.js micro-frontend integration using single-spa to maintain performance and user experience consistency.
- Lead CI/CD, semantic versioning, Docker-based environments, and stable release processes.
- Ensure production reliability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident response in AWS environments.
- Act as technical lead and final reviewer, mentor engineers, enforce code quality, and drive architectural consistency.
- Promote AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows, including best practices, guardrails, and quality standards for production development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building, scaling, and operating complex full-stack web applications in production environments.
- Expert proficiency in PHP 8.x and Laravel, including Middleware, Queues, Events, and Gates/Policies.
- Strong frontend development experience, with Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and modern state management such as Pinia preferred.
- Deep experience designing secure, multi-tenant, distributed systems with a focus on maintainability and SOLID/DRY principles.
- Advanced database and performance engineering experience with MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing, and Redis caching.
- Experience with Docker-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, semantic versioning, AWS infrastructure, and production monitoring and alerting.
- Strong technical leadership experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, decomposing complex problems, and communicating business impact.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, with judgment about their appropriate use.
- Curiosity about AI tools, models, and methodologies and interest in testing their impact on developer productivity and code quality.
