Base Salary
$150k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for strategic AI lab partners and build relationships with senior product and engineering stakeholders.
- Shape joint product roadmaps by translating partner capabilities and integration needs into Databricks platform requirements.
- Design, build, and debug integrations connecting Databricks with partner platforms.
- Create POCs, demos, reference architectures, hands-on labs, and other assets for productization or customer deployment.
- Align strategic customer AI architecture and roadmap needs with Databricks and partner development plans.
- Lead architectural discussions and consensus-building across multiple organizations.
- Develop and maintain technical field enablement content for internal and external teams.
- Travel globally to partner sites, conferences, and events as required.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in field engineering, consulting, platform architecture, or AI systems development.
- Deep understanding of production AI systems, including model serving, inference, retrieval, and agent frameworks.
- Hands-on engineering ability with experience using Python, REST APIs, and SDKs to build POCs, demos, and integrations.
- Established relationships with product and engineering teams at major AI labs and cloud providers.
- Experience leading strategic technical partnerships and multi-company engineering initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of the Databricks platform and the ability to design architectures spanning Databricks and partner products.
- Strong communication and influence skills for presenting to engineering teams and executives and translating across functions.
- Preferred experience in Partner Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering, or Alliance Engineering roles and product-to-product integrations.
- Preferred experience deploying AI systems at enterprise scale, including evaluation, cost and performance tuning, security, and governance.
- Preferred experience working at or with a frontier lab or AI-native cloud provider.
- Preferred track record of producing developer-facing technical content such as reference architectures, deployment guides, blog posts, and conference presentations.
- Preferred familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex.
