Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure across GCP and OCI.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, configuration management, monitoring, patching, and operational tasks.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, OCI DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Argo CD.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on GKE and OKE using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Implement cloud networking, multi-cloud connectivity, IAM, identity federation, secrets management, encryption, and least-privilege access controls.
- Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
- Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues, participate in incident management, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation.
- Collaborate with application development, QA, security, architecture, and operations teams to improve delivery and platform engineering processes.
- Implement DevSecOps controls, vulnerability management, policy enforcement, compliance practices, and secure software supply-chain processes.
- Maintain architecture documentation, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and cloud diagrams.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote cloud, automation, security, and DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–10+ years of overall IT, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience.
- 4–6+ years of hands-on experience with GCP and/or OCI, with strong practical experience in at least one platform and demonstrated experience with the other.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, or operating multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, particularly GKE and/or OKE, and Docker.
- Extensive hands-on Terraform experience, including reusable modules, state management, and automated infrastructure deployment.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong cloud networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, VPNs, VPC/VCN, firewalls, and private connectivity.
- Experience implementing cloud IAM, secrets management, encryption, network security, monitoring, logging, observability, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity principles.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps and automated security controls is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
- Preferred certifications include Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect Professional, OCI DevOps Professional, CKA, CKAD, and HashiCorp Terraform certification.
- Preferred experience includes on-premises-to-cloud migrations, GCP-to-OCI connectivity, multi-cloud architecture, GitOps, platform engineering, Kubernetes deployment patterns, and enterprise-scale production environments.
