Base Salary
$207k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead, build, test, and release mission-critical cloud or on-premises infrastructure services for Rivian’s Autonomy team.
- Set up fault-tolerant, multi-region environments for data operations and data applications.
- Own CI/CD pipelines for applications and data projects.
- Define on-call strategy and participate in on-call rotations.
- Automate developer workflows and improve developer productivity.
- Build and optimize reliable, scalable, distributed infrastructure using microservice architecture.
- Collaborate with security and privacy teams on audits and remediation.
- Partner with cross-functional Autonomy teams on development and integrations.
- Optimize costs across AWS or GCP accounts and services.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering or ML Ops, Dev Ops, or Data Ops experience.
- At least 5 years authoring, scaling, and managing production infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes, cloud CI/CD tools, and core cloud services for compute, storage, networking, identity, and secrets management.
- At least 5 years of infrastructure as code and configuration management experience using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- At least 5 years monitoring applications across cloud environments with Datadog, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Operations, or native tools.
- At least 5 years debugging production systems and performing root-cause analysis on incidents.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Python, Go, or Java and Git-based automation tooling.
- At least 2 years of CI/CD or GitOps experience using GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, or similar tools.
- At least 2 years working with microservice-oriented architectures, Kubernetes, cloud container orchestration, or Docker Swarm.
- At least 2 years of knowledge of Agile development of accessible software tools.
- Linux internals, networking, and distributed computing experience is preferred.
- AWS, GCP, or Cloud Native Computing Foundation certification is preferred.
