Base Salary
$180k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate foundational infrastructure used by engineering teams across Zipline.
- Own core platform capabilities across deployments, infrastructure as code, observability, networking, and runtime environments.
- Operate and evolve Zipline-managed Kubernetes clusters, focusing on reliability and scalability.
- Build software and tooling to enhance infrastructure usability for engineering teams.
- Collaborate with product, robotics, and operations teams to address infrastructure needs.
- Improve the reliability and debuggability of distributed systems.
- Evaluate new technologies pragmatically.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for core infrastructure.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in designing and deploying cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience operating production systems.
- Comfort working across the stack from cloud APIs to Linux and networking.
- A bias toward automation and software-defined infrastructure.
- Strong debugging instincts for distributed systems.
- Clear communication skills to build trust across teams.
- High standards for reliability, security, and operational simplicity.
- Grit and resilience in fast-changing environments.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
