Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements and projects through completion within scope and statement of work.
  • Assess client requirements and design, document, implement, and deliver technical solutions from presales through implementation.
  • Oversee installation and configuration of n-tier software, including disaster-recovery and high-availability designs.
  • Provide technical expertise in infrastructure, performance tuning, development, advanced configuration, troubleshooting, or integration for CRIMS.
  • Guide, mentor, and allocate work to consultants assigned to client projects.
  • Partner with sales teams on presentations, prototypes, and proof-of-concept projects.
  • Identify and drive resolutions for project issues while managing multiple simultaneous technical initiatives.
  • Design and deliver technical training for clients.
  • Build relationships with clients and internal teams and influence technical decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Front-office, buyside, or investment software trading experience is required.
  • Ability to program using Java or C#.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one relational database management system: Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Sybase.
  • Knowledge of Tomcat configuration and optimization, n-tier application architecture, SOAP/XML messaging, and messaging technologies such as MQ Series, Tibco, MSMQ, Sonic MQ, Open JMS, or Kafka.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Kettle and Talend.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Unix, including Solaris and Linux.
  • Familiarity with a source-control management system; Subversion or Perforce is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure and Snowflake.
  • BA/BS degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in the financial or software services industry is required; financial market information systems experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada and work effectively remotely from clients.
  • Strong technical solution design, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and client-facing skills.
