Responsibilities
- Lead the design, adoption, and continuous improvement of Clara’s Internal Developer Platform and CI/CD standardization.
- Design and implement FinOps strategies across AWS and related tooling while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Operate and evolve Kubernetes on Amazon EKS for multi-country production workloads.
- Support and troubleshoot Kafka/MSK-based event-driven architecture, including asynchronous processing and cross-service communication.
- Build and integrate MCP-based or other applied-AI solutions for automated log analysis and incident root-cause analysis.
- Advise development teams on scalable and secure infrastructure design, technical debt, and architecture reviews.
- Implement least-privilege IAM models for human and non-human identities and review access policies.
- Strengthen SSDLC practices through container standardization, secure base images, and pipeline hardening.
- Lead technical compliance initiatives involving audits, ISO 27001, fintech regulations, and enterprise integration RFPs.
- Design and implement multi-account, multi-region backup and recovery systems and infrastructure as code.
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve monitoring, alerting, MTTD, and MTTR.
- Mentor development teams adopting internal tooling, CLIs, and container platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
- Strong experience with multi-account, multi-region AWS infrastructure and services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
- Production experience operating Kubernetes on Amazon EKS, including cluster operations, scaling, networking, and workload troubleshooting.
- Production experience with Apache Kafka or Amazon MSK, including topic design, consumer group management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience contributing to or leading Internal Developer Platforms and CI/CD standardization using GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, or similar tools.
- Experience with observability, incident management, Datadog or similar tools, and DORA metrics.
- Practical knowledge of cloud security, least privilege, SSDLC, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Technical familiarity with Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Java/Spring Boot microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka/MSK, and event-driven communication.
- Familiarity with applying AI or LLMs to operational tasks, including automated log analysis, MCPs, and agents, is a plus.
- Native Spanish and intermediate-to-advanced English are required.
