Responsibilities
- Define technical direction and architecture for a product area spanning multiple teams.
- Act independently on significant, unique problems requiring evaluation of intangible factors.
- Partner with peers and Product/UX leadership to align technical roadmap with business strategy.
- Build formal cross-group networks and serve as a recognized authority beyond your team.
- Establish engineering standards adopted organization-wide within your domain.
- Mentor Staff Engineers and contribute to technical leveling and promotion calibration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with Java and backend application development, including distributed systems.
- Demonstrated track record shaping architecture or technical direction across multiple teams.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and contributing to technical leveling decisions.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting.
