Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, self-service capabilities, and resource provisioning frameworks for data scientists and engineers.
- Manage observability, monitoring, alerting, reliability practices, support models, and operational processes for platform stability.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and services to improve platform capabilities, scalability, and user experience.
- Translate requirements into platform solutions, establish technical standards, document practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Operate in a fully remote role with up to 10% travel.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on data and/or AI/ML infrastructure work.
- A CS or Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure and working familiarity with multi-cloud environments and data and AI services.
- Strong experience with Terraform or Pulumi, CI/CD tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one of Python, Go, or Bash.
- Security and networking fundamentals, plus production experience with monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices.
- Ability to set technical direction at platform scale, drive cross-team architecture decisions, establish standards, and mentor engineers.
- Preferred experience in life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, regulated industries, HIPAA, GxP, SOX, data governance, or matrixed organizations.
