Base Salary
$200k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Partnerships, and Product on complex enterprise deals requiring custom product or integration designs.
- Translate partner environments, constraints, and business goals into solution architectures and API/integration designs.
- Lead technical discovery calls and solutioning sessions with enterprise technical and business stakeholders.
- Create architecture diagrams, API contracts, technical proposals, and scoping documents.
- Hand off validated designs to Forward Deployed Engineering and remain engaged as design authority during implementation.
- Identify customer requests requiring new products or features and work with Product on scoping and prioritization.
- Build reusable solution patterns, proposal templates, and a knowledge base as the function scales.
- Represent technical feasibility and design perspective in deal-review and prioritization discussions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, hands-on product engineering, or direct partnership with large enterprise or big-tech customers.
- Demonstrated experience designing technical solutions for needs that do not fit an existing product.
- Strong technical knowledge of APIs, authentication, data flows, and system architecture combined with customer-facing polish.
- Experience translating ambiguous customer and business requirements into actionable proposals for engineering teams and customers.
- Ability to serve as the technical voice in high-stakes enterprise sales conversations without implementing the final solution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce documentation and diagrams for engineers and enterprise executives.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for key discovery sessions or executive pitches.
- Preferred experience building or scaling a Solutions Engineering/Architecture function, working with large enterprises, experience in payments, loyalty, retail/POS, or fintech, and people-management or program-building experience.
