Base Salary
$223k - $302k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, coach, and develop managers and individual contributors while scaling the global Solutions Engineering team.
- Own the technical path into customer pilots, including requirements scoping, dependency identification, and technical preparation.
- Build relationships with customer IT, security, and technical stakeholders and address technical questions throughout evaluations.
- Drive information security reviews by coordinating questionnaires, documentation, technical discussions, and escalations.
- Anticipate and resolve technical blockers to keep pilots moving smoothly.
- Personally lead complex technical conversations and escalations for strategic opportunities while coaching the team.
- Develop repeatable scoping templates, security resources, technical documentation, readiness checklists, and escalation processes.
- Partner with Sales, Legal Engineering, Product, and Engineering across the customer lifecycle and rollout process.
Requirements
- Experience leading Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering teams in a sales environment with comparable deal complexity, buyer profile, and product maturity.
- Strong technical presales experience personally covering discovery, demos, solution architecture, and technical evaluations before moving into leadership.
- Demonstrated success hiring, coaching, promoting, and managing the performance of team members.
- Commercial judgment regarding how technical work advances buying decisions and when to challenge, redirect, or stop an evaluation.
- Ability to explain complex technology in business terms while retaining credibility with technical audiences.
- Experience building scalable team practices, processes, documentation, and reusable technical assets.
- Ability to influence cross-functionally and translate customer feedback into actionable product discussions.
- Experience leading customer-facing technical teams comprising both managers and individual contributors in an enterprise software environment.
- Hands-on experience with technical scoping, customer technical evaluations, enterprise information security reviews, architecture, data handling, access controls, and integration requirements.
- Based in New York City and able to work from the Flatiron office five days per week, with travel as needed.
- Background in AI-native or legal technology companies is strongly preferred.
- Experience with enterprise AI or customers with demanding security requirements is preferred.
