Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated Python test cases and frameworks for high-volume manufacturing of optical components.
- Own end-to-end manufacturing test software changes, including revision control, bug tracking, tester updates, regression testing, test logs, documentation, and QMS compliance.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of Layer 1 and Layer 2 network systems, including optical interfaces and network switches.
- Configure traffic generators such as IXIA to simulate network environments and evaluate system performance.
- Collaborate with optical design, hardware, manufacturing, quality, process engineering, software, IT, and database teams on testing, calibration, characterization, qualification, DFM, and DFT.
- Troubleshoot defects, support root cause analysis, and develop troubleshooting guidelines, automated tools, templates, and test data analysis solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement plans focused on test yield, cycle time, throughput, and scrap reduction.
- Define improved methods for managing and analyzing manufacturing test data and generate comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Seven years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation for optical transceiver products, including silicon photonics; experience with 400G, 800G, or 1.6T transceiver modules is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of yield analysis, manufacturing process improvement, statistical data analysis, SPC, GR&R, tester correlation, and quality management systems.
- Experience with C# and/or Python, database integration, SQL or NoSQL, and automation scripting using tools such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or Shell scripting.
- Strong experience with unit and integration testing, Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking protocols, optical testing, network switches, and traffic generators such as IXIA.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, Windows Forms or WPF, hardware communication protocols, and version control workflows using GitHub, Bitbucket, or SVN.
- Experience with reliability testing, quality control, qualification testing, and manufacturing test data logging and analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate across geographically diverse teams, communicate effectively in English, present information, and train or mentor peers.
