Base Salary
$161k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy tooling and pipelines for quality control and issue identification of pseudo-labeled data.
- Provide statistical analysis and reporting on pseudo-label quality, coverage, and pipeline health.
- Select, curate, and package data for on-demand online model training.
- Build and improve ML data delivery systems for the online perception team.
- Optimize pipeline throughput, quality, and reliability while identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Define ingestion, preparation, curation, governance, and quality standards for large datasets supporting analytics and ML workflows.
- Develop tools, services, and algorithms using disciplined software development, version control, and documentation practices.
- Lead projects, guide less experienced team members, and provide technical coaching and mentoring.
- Create information products that improve visualization and data accessibility and recommend technical and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with typically 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree in a related technical field with typically 3+ years of experience.
- Familiarity with offline perception stacks, pseudo-label data production, and related best practices.
- Strong software engineering experience building and operating data pipelines and services at scale.
- Statistical analysis and reporting skills with the ability to turn data-quality findings into actionable insights.
- Experience with MLOps tooling, ML frameworks, experiment tracking, model registries, metrics, evaluation, and quality processes.
- Experience processing Parquet data with tools such as PyArrow, Daft, or Pandas.
- Proficiency in Python, VDI and cloud-based development environments, GitHub Actions, and Docker.
- Experience with distributed data processing or ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Lightning, or Ray.
- Large-scale data delivery and quality-control experience and pseudo-labeling experience are preferred.
- Ability to work independently on complex work, drive alignment, own technical solutions, guide engineers, and mentor team members.
