Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end API solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Apigee for secure integration between enterprise applications and external partners.
- Design and manage API proxies, policies, flows, caching, payload transformations, traffic management, and reusable integration services using Apigee Edge and Apigee OPDK.
- Develop standardized APIGEE Integration patterns connecting on-premises systems, cloud services, and third-party platforms with strong governance and observability.
- Translate banking and wealth management requirements into detailed technical designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Implement authentication, authorization, threat protection, data masking, and other controls for sensitive financial information and regulatory compliance.
- Establish API lifecycle processes covering versioning, deprecation, monitoring, incident management, and operational stability.
- Create architecture diagrams, design specifications, deployment guidelines, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud operations teams on deployment pipelines, logging, observability, and proactive issue detection.
- Guide development teams on API design, error handling, contract management, maintainability, and testing practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews, analyze production metrics and customer feedback, and coordinate with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
Requirements
- Eight to ten years of overall technology experience.
- Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services related to API management, integration, and security.
- Strong practical experience designing and implementing complex API solutions with Apigee Edge and Apigee OPDK, including policy configuration, gateway administration, and environment management.
- Advanced knowledge of APIGEE Integration for connecting enterprise systems with data consistency, transaction integrity, and robust error handling.
- Experience with financial services; experience with banking, asset management, wealth management, or COTS products is preferred.
- Understanding of hybrid deployment models, networking fundamentals, and secure connectivity spanning on-premises data centers and Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis abilities.
