Base Salary
$126k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions and agents from prototype through production.
- Define quality metrics, evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, and systematic evaluation loops for LLM and agent systems.
- Develop scalable and performant solutions using Python and SQL.
- Productionize AI applications with safety guardrails, observability, monitoring, optimization, and human-review workflows.
- Use production traces and user feedback to improve evaluations and AI system quality.
- Partner directly with customer data science and engineering teams as a hands-on technical advisor.
- Collaborate with Snowflake Product and Engineering teams to share customer feedback and influence the AI platform.
- Spend at least 25% of working time onsite with strategic customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Willingness to travel.
- Proven experience building applications with LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Hands-on experience defining quality metrics and evaluating LLM or agent systems to improve quality.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience building evaluation sets from production traces and synthetic data and conducting A/B tests, ablations, or offline evaluations.
- Familiarity with Braintrust, LangSmith, Arize, Weave, Promptfoo, or custom evaluation harnesses.
- Experience analyzing failure modes in agent or RAG systems and addressing issues such as hallucinations, retrieval misses, planning failures, and tool misuse.
- Experience with the MLOps lifecycle, including model deployment, monitoring, and evaluation in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with pandas, NumPy, and Snowpark.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions architecture, sales engineering, or professional services.
- Startup experience is preferred.
