Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and customer engineering support for automotive customers adopting Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit platforms.
  • Analyze customer requirements, identify technical gaps and risks, define system architectures, and drive optimal technical solutions.
  • Support automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers through product development, integration, validation, and commercialization.
  • Develop, debug, and troubleshoot embedded software and complex SoC-based systems across software, hardware, and system domains.
  • Lead customer, product management, and engineering discussions and drive complex technical issues to resolution.
  • Advocate customer needs internally and communicate Qualcomm technologies, capabilities, and roadmaps to customers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical initiatives and build trusted relationships with Japanese automotive customers and global engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 7+ years or a PhD with 6+ years.
  • At least 4 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python and at least 4 years of experience with debugging techniques.
  • Strong hands-on C programming experience and expertise in embedded software design, low-level debugging, embedded systems, SoC architecture, and system integration.
  • Experience with Android Automotive OS, Android, Linux, QNX, RTOS, or equivalent operating environments.
  • Knowledge of kernel architecture, memory management, multi-core processing, multithreading, virtualization, security, power management, crash debugging, and system performance optimization.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles involving requirements analysis, system architecture, technical negotiations, or executive-level engagements.
  • Native or business-fluent Japanese and English proficiency.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Snapdragon Cockpit, Snapdragon Ride, Automotive Connectivity, automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers, virtualization, hypervisors, functional safety, cybersecurity, AI/ML, vehicle software architectures, and senior FAE or solutions architecture leadership.
