Base Salary
$160k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, deploy, and operate large-scale infrastructure and complex software systems.
- Build automation and scalable solutions for critical global finance business functions.
- Manage and troubleshoot systems, networks, storage, operating systems, and distributed infrastructure.
- Improve availability, performance, operational excellence, and deployment mechanisms.
- Develop automation using scripting languages and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, field, and business teams through launch readiness and go-live activities.
- Communicate technical decisions to technical and non-technical audiences and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps, or applications development experience.
- 2+ years of experience building complex software systems.
- 2+ years of storage devices experience or experience in similar technical roles.
- Experience with customer service, Linux/RHEL, technical troubleshooting, debugging, analytical problem-solving, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell.
- Knowledge of HTTP(S), DNS, TCP/IP, and security best practices.
- Experience deploying and operating Windows, Linux, or other UNIX variants in datacenter or AWS cloud environments.
- Experience building infrastructure as code, Chef recipes, or AWS Lambda solutions.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Experience architecting or operating AWS solutions and working with server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred experience leading cross-functional launch activities, building launch-readiness frameworks, managing high-volume file workflows, and working with hardware platforms.
- Preferred experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.
