Responsibilities
- Translate functional specifications into technical designs, estimates, and clean-core-compliant development approaches while challenging requirements better solved through configuration.
- Develop CDS-based reports, RAP services, analytical Fiori applications, released extensions, BAdIs, and key-user or developer extensibility solutions.
- Design and build integrations among S/4HANA, SAP Digital Manufacturing, factory-automation and edge systems, and analytics using SAP BTP Integration Suite and related interface patterns.
- Build SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements applications for shop-floor use, including multilingual interfaces suitable for hand-held devices and gloved users.
- Implement batch and lot traceability, batch characteristic derivation, cavity-level data, genealogy reporting, travelers, labels, packing documents, workflows, and print forms.
- Deliver clean-core governance through released APIs, extension registers, upgrade-safety reviews, code reviews, documentation, and refusal of unjustified core modifications.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of SAP technical development experience, three full-lifecycle implementations, and at least one S/4HANA implementation.
- Mandatory hands-on batch management and end-to-end traceability experience covering batch classification, number assignment, characteristic derivation, cavity and sub-lot data, and genealogy reporting.
- Strong ABAP Object-Oriented and ABAP on HANA skills, including CDS views, AMDP, code pushdown, performance optimization, RAP, released APIs, BAdIs, and modern extensibility.
- SAPUI5 and Fiori development experience, including Fiori Elements, annotations, custom controls, and launchpad configuration.
- Hands-on SAP BTP and Integration Suite experience, including Cloud Integration, API Management, and event-based integration.
- Experience with OData, REST, SOAP, IDoc, ALE/EDI, Data Replication Framework, file-based interfaces, Adobe Forms or SmartForms, and development involving PP, QM, and MM/IM/WM.
- Professional English is required; business-level Japanese, Japan delivery experience, SAP Digital Manufacturing or MES integration, OPC UA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Data Cloud, workflow automation, testing, source-control, CI/CD, or relevant SAP certifications are preferred.
