Responsibilities
- Translate market and customer requirements into testable criteria and maintain requirements-versus-capability evaluations across releases.
- Define and run automotive benchmarks for ADAS perception, surround view, parking, BEV/occupancy, DMS/OMS, and sensor-fusion workloads.
- Port, quantize, optimize, and deploy automotive AI workloads while measuring FPS, latency, accuracy, power, and thermal behavior.
- Build benchmark automation, regression tracking, dashboards, and reproducible automotive-realistic test suites.
- Prototype runtime integration with Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR Adaptive, Android Automotive OS, and ROS 2.
- Contribute to ASIL-B/ASIL-D safety runtimes, diagnostics, monitoring, and customer integration validation.
- Own or co-own technical work packages, deliverables, milestones, and demonstrators in automotive R&D programs and consortia.
- Track automotive AI and ADAS trends, competitive benchmarks, and integration gaps, and provide recommendations for product and engineering roadmaps.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in embedded software or application engineering within automotive or automotive semiconductors.
- Strong embedded C and Python skills for tooling and test automation.
- Experience with real-time systems and safety-qualified development in ASIL-B/ASIL-D contexts, including ISO 26262 requirements, safety mechanisms, diagnostics, and supporting evidence.
- Embedded development on constrained targets, including board bring-up, drivers, BSPs, cross-compilation, trace/debug, CI, and MISRA, with embedded Linux and exposure to QNX or AUTOSAR.
- Experience validating on target hardware through bench or HIL testing and characterization across automotive temperature ranges.
- Strong requirements-to-evidence discipline and clear technical writing skills.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel approximately 15%.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch, ONNX, embedded model deployment, quantization, graph compilation, and computer-vision automotive perception workloads.
- Preferred familiarity with AUTOSAR Adaptive, Android Automotive OS, SOME/IP, DDS, MIPI CSI-2, GMSL/FPD-Link, ISO 21434, A-SPICE, vehicle E/E architectures, and collaborative R&D programs.
- Additional European language skills are appreciated; prior AI experience is valued but not required.
