Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of the Data Semantics team while remaining hands-on in design, implementation, and delivery.
- Build and scale semantic infrastructure that bridges various telemetry models.
- Drive platform initiatives focused on schema evolution and telemetry standardization.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to define standards and align stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead resolution efforts for complex production incidents.
Requirements
- Significant experience designing and operating large-scale data infrastructure.
- Demonstrated Staff-level impact through technical leadership and mentorship.
- Strong communication skills to drive alignment across teams.
- Product-oriented mindset connecting platform investments to customer outcomes.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Experience with schema design, OpenTelemetry, and observability platforms is a plus.
