Responsibilities
- Build and own Doctolib's Medical Knowledge Platform.
- Design and maintain indexing pipelines and retrieval systems.
- Architect and optimize systems for handling 100M+ documents.
- Build custom re-rankers and optimize query processing pipelines.
- Engineer deep RAG systems to address medical knowledge complexity.
- Work across the full retrieval stack including vector embeddings and query expansion.
Requirements
- Proven production experience in building and scaling search and retrieval systems.
- Deep expertise in both offline indexing and online retrieval.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Solr, and vector search technologies.
- Experience building custom re-rankers and optimizing indexing pipelines.
- Operated at Senior or Staff level with significant autonomy.
