Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain highly scalable backend cloud systems, emphasizing efficiency and scalability.
- Own product work from design and implementation through optimization, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Use Claude Code for planning, coding, testing, code review, profiling, benchmarking, and production issue investigation.
- Build internal AI tooling including Claude Code skills, plugins, MCP servers, hooks, and project context.
- Review, verify, and test AI-generated code to established engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success/Support, and other teams.
- Maintain services in a healthy, operational state.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing backend cloud systems with a high-level language.
- At least 3 years of Python experience.
- Proven experience working on large systems and addressing scaling issues.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in daily development.
- Strong engineering judgment to direct AI agents and critically review their output.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with common algorithms, data structures, and code whiteboarding.
- Preferred experience includes Python internals, MongoDB, Parquet, DuckDB, microservice infrastructure, AI coding tool extensions, MCP servers, context engineering, debugging, code review, and operations.
