Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, troubleshoots, reviews, and debugs secure, high-quality production software.
  • Delivers system design, application development, testing, and operational stability improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation and improve software and system stability.
  • Leads evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architecture and technical applicability.
  • Leads Software Engineering communities of practice and promotes adoption of new technologies.
  • Contributes to an inclusive, diverse, and respectful team culture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java and AWS technologies such as ECS, S3, MSK, Glue, Lambda, containers, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
  • Experience with automation, continuous delivery, the software development life cycle, application resiliency, security, and cloud-native development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry technology and IT systems.
  • Preferred experience with Python, Angular, and/or React.
