Base Salary
$164k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and scale backend and front-end features for membership benefits, rewards, and engagement.
- Build and iterate on APIs and UI components for Chime’s mobile app.
- Partner with product, design, data science, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand member needs, define experiments, and ship measurable solutions.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability across the stack.
- Contribute through mentorship, code reviews, and technical best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience in a production environment at scale.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
- Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as React, React Native, or TypeScript-based frameworks.
- Experience with transactional databases, caching systems, and API design.
- Ability to work across the stack with a product mindset focused on experimentation, iteration, and measuring impact.
- Collaborative communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.
- Experience with experimentation frameworks and data-driven product development is a plus.
