Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and execute automated web UI, API, and end-to-end tests, and maintain Selenium-based automation frameworks.
- Implement Page Object Model, data-driven testing, behavior-driven testing, parallel execution, reporting, and logging frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to define test strategies and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and automation opportunities.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, responsive, accessibility, and other quality testing; analyze execution results and provide actionable reports.
- Debug application defects and work with development teams to resolve them.
- Contribute to test strategy, quality metrics, automation best practices, and continuous process improvements.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices across teams.
Requirements
- Strong automation testing background with hands-on Playwright experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, and Java.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch and optimizing test execution, including parallel execution strategies.
- Experience with REST API testing using Playwright API Testing and Postman; REST Assured experience is preferred.
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java; Java is preferred.
- Experience with Page Object Model, framework design patterns, data-driven testing, and behavior-driven testing.
- Exposure to Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Docker is advantageous.
- Experience with SQL queries and data validation techniques.
- Experience with Cucumber, JMeter or k6, Azure or AWS, accessibility testing, security testing, and AI-assisted testing tools is advantageous.
