Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend software processors for real-time weather data.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement processing solutions.
- Enhance existing processors to support new data providers and business requirements.
- Design and implement database schemas and SQL objects for backend applications.
- Develop reliable and maintainable software for production environments.
- Collaborate with database administrators to maintain database changes.
- Investigate and resolve software defects and operational incidents.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for software components.
- Revise existing software to improve functionality and performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in backend service development.
- Proficiency in Scala or Java with functional programming exposure.
- Experience in cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with structured and semi-structured data formats.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
