Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available and massively scaled CloudWatch systems.
- Build telemetry collection agents in Rust and Go for metrics, logs, and traces.
- Contribute to and engage with upstream open-source communities such as OpenTelemetry.
- Expand services across AWS Regions and diagnose production issues to identify root causes.
- Implement fixes that prevent recurring operational issues.
- Use GenAI and AI-powered development tools to improve productivity.
- Mentor junior engineers and help grow the team's technical capability.
Requirements
- Professional non-internship software development experience.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Hands-on programming skills in at least one of Rust, Go, Java, C++, or Python.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, is preferred.
- Open-source enthusiasm and contributions, such as a GitHub portfolio or contributions to OpenTelemetry projects, are preferred.
