Responsibilities
- Design and build low-latency, event-driven systems that calculate and distribute index data.
- Own platform architecture and engineering quality through hands-on implementation, code review, and technical direction.
- Scale and operate the cloud-native platform on AWS for resilience, observability, and performance.
- Define and evolve data models and pipelines for market and reference data with emphasis on accuracy, auditability, and control.
- Drive engineering standards, modernization, automation, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tooling.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background designing and building distributed, event-driven systems.
- Proven ability to own system design and architecture while balancing performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and relational databases in production systems.
- Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
- Ability to lead through engineering quality, including code reviews, testing strategy, and raising technical standards.
- Preferred experience with low-latency or real-time systems, financial services, market data, index products, or AI-assisted development tooling.
