Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate AI systems for UiPath’s intelligent document processing products.
- Develop ingestion, parsing, extraction, indexing, retrieval, and evaluation pipelines.
- Take features from conception through production, measure outcomes, and improve them based on results.
- Solve concurrency, latency, and distributed systems problems for high-volume production workloads.
- Build and operate systems across multi-cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments under strict security and compliance requirements.
- Use and help govern coding agents while maintaining software quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, cross-functional teams, and customers.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, participate in hiring, and contribute to engineering standards.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building and operating large-scale commercial services.
- Strong programming ability and the ability to learn and use multiple languages, including Python, Rust, and C#.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and containerized deployment on Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL and the trade-offs among storage and search systems.
- Experience working with coding agents and evaluating their responsible use.
- Understanding of type systems, testing, and designs that prevent invalid states.
- Pragmatic knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and software architecture.
- Experience shipping LLM-backed products to production, including prompting and evaluation, is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with document processing, OCR, and document layout is preferred.
- Ability to assess and advocate for sound code and architecture decisions.
