Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build, deploy, and monitor scalable ML infrastructure and services.
- Scale the ML platform for large-scale data processing, model development, massive datasets, and diverse customer needs.
- Optimize platform flexibility, performance, reliability, agility, and cost efficiency.
- Build convenient and reliable systems for internal teams and external customers.
- Solve infrastructure, data processing, storage, and access challenges at scale.
- Collaborate with data science, product, and operations teams to integrate ML capabilities into business-critical services.
- Keep current with industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into the platform.
- Lead and mentor engineers and promote a high-performance engineering culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and scaling cloud-based infrastructure and services, particularly in machine learning or data-heavy environments.
- Expert knowledge of distributed systems, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
- Deep experience building large-scale services with attention to performance, reliability, and cost.
- Demonstrated ability to design cost-effective solutions while balancing performance, security, and scalability.
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts such as model training and validation.
- Leadership, collaboration, mentoring, and experience working in an agile development environment.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong problem-solving focus on practical, reliable, efficient systems for real-world production environments.
