Base Salary

$69k - $131k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain the software development environment.
  • Maintain documentation and work instructions supporting high-maturity software engineering standards and processes.
  • Configure, maintain, and manage software development tools, services, and server installations.
  • Tune, patch, harden, and manage access controls for Linux operating systems.
  • Configure and maintain networking routers and servers.
  • Support, design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A STEM degree and at least 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with Linux operating system tuning, patching, hardening, and access control.
  • Experience configuring, maintaining, and managing software development tools, services, and server installations.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining networking routers and servers.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred: experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket.
  • Preferred: knowledge of NIST, DISA STIGs, and the Risk Management Framework.
  • Preferred: software development lifecycle experience using C/C++.
  • Preferred: experience in software testing or debugging source code.
