Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Enterprise Service Layer services and APIs.
- Develop REST APIs and microservices connecting digital applications with backend systems.
- Build and maintain integrations between digital applications and enterprise systems.
- Implement API validation, transformation, error handling, authentication, authorization, and logging.
- Troubleshoot API, integration, and production issues.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow API and development standards.
- Collaborate with architects, commerce developers, front-end developers, backend developers, QA, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall software development experience.
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in API development, microservices, middleware, backend development, or enterprise integration.
- Strong hands-on experience in backend, API, middleware, or enterprise integration development.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in at least one backend technology: Java/Spring Boot, .NET, or Node.js.
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise or backend systems.
- Good understanding of JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, and API integration patterns.
- Experience with API authentication and authorization.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with API Gateway or API Management solutions is preferred.
- Knowledge of messaging or event-driven integration is preferred.
- Experience integrating with commerce or eCommerce platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
