Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architecture for Commerce and ESL platforms.
- Design integrations between Commerce platforms and ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, CMS, payments, inventory, fulfillment, and other enterprise systems.
- Define API, microservices, event-driven, messaging, synchronous, and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Establish standards for API security, authentication, authorization, error handling, logging, monitoring, and performance.
- Provide technical direction to Commerce, ESL, backend, frontend, and integration development teams.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, availability, security, resilience, and performance requirements.
- Review solution designs for alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural constraints.
- Collaborate with business, product, engineering, security, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Maintain solution architecture diagrams, integration specifications, API standards, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect for digital Commerce and enterprise integration solutions.
- Strong experience with eCommerce or Digital Commerce architecture and Enterprise Service Layer architecture.
- Hands-on architecture experience with REST APIs, microservices, and API management.
- Strong understanding of synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Experience integrating Commerce platforms with enterprise and backend systems.
- Strong knowledge of API security, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, authentication, and authorization.
- Strong understanding of scalability, high availability, resilience, caching, and performance.
- Experience defining and governing architecture and integration standards.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and solution design skills.
- Preferred experience with Adobe Commerce/Magento, SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools, Apigee, Azure API Management, Kong, MuleSoft, Kafka, Java/Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Headless Commerce, Composable Commerce, MACH architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and application monitoring solutions.
