Responsibilities
- Participate in prioritization discussions with Product and Business stakeholders.
- Estimate and own design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation tasks.
- Drive code, design, process, and technology trade-off discussions.
- Report status and manage risks for the primary application or service.
- Drive service integration focused on customer journeys and experiences.
- Conduct product demonstrations and acceptance discussions with Product owners.
- Improve engineering experience and operational metrics within the ownership area.
- Develop an end-to-end understanding of technical architecture and dependency systems.
- Drive adoption of technology standards and frameworks and review team coding, testing, and automation work.
- Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated validation frameworks.
- Review test architecture, automation code, and quality solutions.
- Drive shift-left quality practices and provide quality recommendations during architecture discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with exposure to the entire software development lifecycle.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong experience with distributed, event-driven, microservices, cloud-native, and REST API-based applications.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, or Postman.
- Understanding of dbt testing for data quality, reliability, and accuracy across data engineering pipelines.
- Strong SQL, data analysis, and data validation experience.
- Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
