Base Salary
$191k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Expand Reddit’s cross-platform design system and develop higher-level reusable components.
- Collaborate with product teams, designers, and engineers to support real product needs.
- Improve Android architecture, rendering patterns, and performance at scale.
- Build accessible components, patterns, tooling, and documentation.
- Contribute to shared tooling, documentation, and platform improvements that strengthen developer experience.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- Track record of leading cross-functional projects and delivering solutions with broad product impact.
- Experience building and maintaining shared UI infrastructure such as design systems, component libraries, or frontend infrastructure used across multiple teams.
- Strong experience with modern Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Expertise in UI architecture, scalable component design, and performance optimization using tools such as Instruments.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and interest in building accessible components, tooling, or documentation.

- Base salary range of $190,800–$267,100 USD; the role may also include equity and, depending on the position, commission.
