Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines using Lightspeed and Jenkins.
- Convert, configure, review, and test Python scripts to meet CI/CD standards and vulnerability requirements.
- Integrate pipelines with Bitbucket and GitHub for source control and change management.
- Develop Python applications and Shell automation for microservice deployments and operational tasks.
- Support OpenShift and Kubernetes deployments, capacity monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues, monitor application and container logs, and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for code quality and system reliability.
- Support containerized microservices and service mesh implementations.
- Use Kibana and Grafana for observability, platform health, and performance monitoring.
- Support SDLC, release, promotion, change management, and operational readiness processes using ServiceNow.
- Identify and escalate risks related to stability, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with development, infrastructure, and operations teams and provide guidance to junior analysts.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, application development, platform engineering, or infrastructure delivery roles supporting infrastructure or application hosting environments.
- Strong Python 3.x development, debugging, and application-support skills, including Anaconda experience.
- Strong understanding and practical experience building, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Lightspeed, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
- Hands-on production experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
- Experience with Parquet, ORC, Kafka, Hive, cloud platforms, and databases.
- Experience with ServiceNow and with container monitoring and logging tools such as Kibana and Grafana.
- Experience with hardware or platform capacity planning, SDLC processes, DevOps practices, automation, continuous delivery, and operational support.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, judgment, mentoring, and process-optimization skills.
- Experience working in financial services or large, complex, global, distributed, or virtual-team environments.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
