Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, analyze, document, maintain, and modify complex software applications and system/subsystem-level code.
- Translate customer requirements and information needs into implementable software specifications.
- Perform software deployment, installation, maintenance, implementation, quality-control monitoring, and integration at government-specified locations.
- Implement middleware and service-oriented architecture technologies, including ESB, CORBA, SOAP, and ICE.
- Conduct system-level and unit-level testing, create test plans and special test code, document results, and perform regression testing after changes.
- Lead software design and development teams, coordinate engineers and technical support staff, and direct complex projects or major project phases.
- Interact with customers and stakeholders to report project status and manage subsystem requirements.
- Research and evaluate FOSS, GOTS, COTS, software tools, technologies, and vendor capabilities for incorporation into system designs.
- Maintain processes for logging and tracking customer service requests and integrate with prioritized signal repositories.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering from an accredited college or university, with a bachelor's degree plus two additional years of software experience or six additional years of software experience accepted as substitutions.
- 15 years of experience in software application design and development, including coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- 12 years of experience leading software design and development teams for collection systems and components.
- Experience with Java, C++, JavaScript, Angular, XML/XSD, SQL, Docker, Linux/UNIX, scripting languages such as Python or Perl, Java GUI development, and web frameworks.
- Experience with object-oriented techniques, configuration management, middleware, service-oriented architecture, software deployment, and system and unit testing.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Desired experience with PostgreSQL, JHipster, and Git.
