Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead ColdFusion/CFML application development, sustainment, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex ColdFusion and Microsoft SQL Server applications.
- Analyze existing code, business rules, interfaces, database dependencies, and application architecture before implementing changes.
- Lead technical decomposition and estimation of RFCs, user stories, defects, and urgent changes.
- Provide technical direction and code review for developers while remaining actively involved in coding.
- Establish maintainable coding patterns and sound development practices within the legacy application.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, tables, views, and database interactions.
- Investigate and resolve complex application, database, integration, and production issues through root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with business analysts and government stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify technical impacts, dependencies, and risks.
- Support developer testing, peer review, Fortify/static-code scanning, security remediation, and defect resolution.
- Coordinate technical readiness for expedited weekly releases and planned monthly production releases.
- Collaborate with system administration, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, testing, and database personnel.
- Maintain technical documentation covering architecture, module behavior, interfaces, deployment considerations, and support procedures.
- Mentor developers and distribute critical application knowledge across the team.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of software-development experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on Adobe ColdFusion/CFML development experience.
- Experience serving as a technical lead or senior developer for a complex production application.
- Expert ability to understand, troubleshoot, and enhance mature or legacy ColdFusion applications.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server development, performance-analysis, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web-application development.
- Experience with Git-based source control, peer and code review, branching, and controlled release processes.
- Strong root-cause analysis and production-support skills.
- Ability to independently own complex technical problems and drive them through resolution.
- Ability to provide technical direction to other developers with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and functional customer stakeholders.
- Preferred experience supporting DISA or another Department of Defense organization.
- Preferred experience inheriting and rapidly becoming technically responsible for a large, poorly documented legacy application.
- Preferred familiarity with Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, Fortify, PKI, CAC authentication, SSO, ICAM, RMF, STIGs, ACAS/Tenable, SCAP, POA&Ms, secure software-development requirements, Agile/RFC-driven development, customer UAT, expedited releases, monthly deployments, and application modernization or migration.
