Responsibilities
- Manage incident processes and lead major incidents from identification through resolution.
- Identify root causes, facilitate post-incident reviews, and implement preventive solutions.
- Monitor system health and proactively address performance and stability risks.
- Develop Java backend services, APIs, scripts, tooling, and automation.
- Build or maintain React applications for operational or internal tooling.
- Support distributed, microservices-based, and event-driven systems in cloud environments.
- Prioritize support work based on urgency and business impact.
- Maintain documentation for procedures, fixes, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in production support or platform work.
- High-level proficiency in Java for backend service development and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with API development, scripting, and tooling.
- Experience with Python and PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining React applications used for operational or internal tooling.
- Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, including managed services, IAM, and networking.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana or Splunk.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to lead major incidents and facilitate post-mortems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with GCP services including GKE, Cloud Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Operations Suite.
- Experience with AI technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree, specialized training, or a relevant professional qualification is preferred.
- Experience with Azure-specific services such as AKS and Azure Monitor is preferred.
- Preferred capabilities include problem solving, decision making, collaboration, teamwork, growth mindset, execution and delivery, and business intelligence.
Benefits
- The stated pay range is €35,000.00–€90,000.00.
