Base Salary
$144k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
- Own software development from requirements capture and design through testing, integration, verification, validation, and flight operational support.
- Scope projects and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Develop structured C++ software for bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux-based embedded processors.
- Build highly reliable and available software systems and ensure system quality and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
- Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred experience includes aerospace safety-critical software and programming in Python or Rust.
- Preferred knowledge includes computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
