Base Salary
$175k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a team developing data products using Go and Python.
- Write SQL queries for data exploration in ClickHouse and query data using Snowflake.
- Deploy data products to AWS using EKS, EMR, RDS, and S3.
- Schedule and monitor workflows using Airflow and develop dashboards using Looker.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and perform application monitoring and alerting using Grafana.
- Plan, design, integrate, test, customize, support, and release software and web applications.
- Provide architectural guidance, technical support, and mentorship to other engineers and junior Software Development Engineers.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and integration needs.
- Oversee development documentation, technical requirements, evaluation plans, test results, manuals, and recommendations.
- Ensure the team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget.
- Work with Quality Assurance to evaluate application specifications and technical requirements.
- Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Seven years of experience developing data products using Go and Python.
- Five years of experience writing SQL queries for data exploration in ClickHouse, querying Snowflake, deploying products to AWS including EKS, EMR, RDS, and S3, scheduling and monitoring Airflow workflows, developing Looker dashboards, and using GitHub for version control.
- Two years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and performing application monitoring and alerting using Grafana.
